Pretty much on par with how I thought the voting should go this year. Sadly, CC will probably win the AL CY Young due to more wins and the fact that he plays for the Yanks. A travesty IMO.

And G. Anderson is really bad at baseball. In the field, at bat, and even on the base pads. He is only good for one rope single every 4 AB.

ACHE was phenomenally bad this season. There’s nothing good you can say about what he did. He didn’t hit for average (.268), didn’t get on base (.303 OBP, 27 walks), didn’t hit for power (.401 SLG%, .133 ISO, 13 HR), and was a liability in the field and on the base paths. He would’ve been a useful bench bat. That’s it.

If CC wins the CY award, I will quit watching baseball, for a long time.

CC isn’t going to win- I’m a Yankee fan and i would vote for Greinke without one seconds hesitation. I would also vote for Mauer. I love my team but respect must be handed out without homerism–

    and Jurrgens–that is an empty threat… :)

    P.W.,

I read this on Cleveland’s choice on hiring Manny Acta-

“Many baseball people gave glowing reviews of Acta, but perhaps the most meaningful came from Atlanta manager Bobby Cox. He called the Indians unsolicited to say Acta was exactly the kind of energetic manager the team needed, adding that he thought Acta was “well-prepared” when Cox managed against him.”

What do you think of Acta?

I’m a huge Acta fan. I thought the Nationals were stupid for firing him.

Enjoying your posts as usual, but can you vote for someone in a league award if he wasn’t in the league that year (Renteria and NL LVP)? Or have I missed something?

BTW, as much as I’d like Hanson to win NL ROTY, I think it’s going to McCutchen.

    Cheers,
    Philip

LOL…sorry, I thought he was still on the Tigers…tells you what a bad year it was since I don’t even remember him being on the Giants…**puts down drinks**

I think you’re probably right about McCutchen. Or Coghlan or Happ.

Watching the players, McCutchen and Hanson were clearly the best two of the rookie class.

I really think it is gotta be Coghlan for nl roy, that guy can just flat hit, and is a better than decent defender. I think it would have been hanson had he been called up earlier
